My latest story on Ruthie's Club is a very special one. "Who Do You Want to Be?" is part of the Halloween issue but more importantly, it is my first co-writing jaunt with the extraordinary M. Davenport!
M. and I have known each other for years, and I've always loved his sarcastic wit and lightning-quick sense of humor. This is a guy who can make me laugh no matter what the situation. He's very well-spoken, an outrageous flirt, loves his friends with everything in him, and has one of the kindest hearts I know.
I don't recall how our conversation that particular evening took a turn toward costumes in a costume store, but it did -- and M's usual joking self went into overdrive. I wrote a basic draft, and he ran with it. What began as a basic story about a costume shop turned into something hilarious and unique. I am so happy with our final version!
Take a visit over to Ruthie's Club to read the story. Ruthie's is adults only and requires a subscription, but it is worth every last penny. I am proud to be a part of M. Davenport's debut on such a great site!

A Sweet Surprise, Indeed...
This week my story "Sweet Surprise" was named the Babeland Erotica Contest winner for the month of September. It was definitely a sweet surprise to get that news!
The story is based on a toy from the Babeland collection: The Lollipop Riding Crop. It is a riding crop with a red silicone disc at the end, and it really does look for all the world like a big Lollipop.
As the winner, I get to choose between a gift certificate or cash -- and being the naughty one that I am, I chose the gift certificate. My toy box needs a bit of revamping with a few BDSM additions! I'm going to buy the Pinwheel, for sure -- but what else? I haven't decided yet. If anyone has suggestions, feel free to share!
In the meantime, "Sweet Surprise" is free to read on the Babeland Blog. Enjoy!

He's On Top!
I got word this week that my story "Confession" will be included in He's on Top: Erotic Stories of Male Dominance and Female Submission. The anthology is edited by the great Rachel Kramer Bussel. I love working with Rachel, and I'm really looking forward to this book!

Cool Idea for Writing Prompts!
I love writing prompts. If nothing creative is showing itself on that particular day, I go back through a file of writing prompts and pull one out at random. Then I force myself to write at least 500 words on that particular subject, or tailor a story around a particular place, situation, title -- you name it, it probably will work as a prompt to get the creative juices flowing.
Today I was looking through my son's homework from last week and I came across his list of spelling words. Instead of throwing them out (since he has a new list this week, after all), I studied them for a minute. And thought: Voila!
For those parents out there: the next time your child brings home their list of spelling words, use them as your writing prompt. Write a story -- let's say, a thousand words? -- using every one of those words in the story.
Here's the list for this week, to get you started:
blankets
mountains
pairs
pockets
inches
branches
states
bunches
jungles
companies
flies
libraries
enemies
daisies
addresses
If you're sitting there wondering what you should be doing today and procrastinating like crazy, there's your assignment. Get to work!
